FAQ
What’s the tape made of?
Our tape is made from hypoallergenic, latex-free, skin-safe fabric with a gentle adhesive that won’t irritate your lips or leave residue. Each strip is infused with marine collagen to give your lips extra hydration and care while you sleep.
Can anyone use Bisou?
Bisou is designed for adults who want to improve sleep quality, wake up feeling fresher, and add a beauty ritual into their routine. While men can also benefit, we created Bisou with women’s skin and beauty concerns in mind. (We don’t recommend use for children.)
How soon will I notice the results?
Most people see noticeable improvements in 1–2 weeks of consistent use.
What does Bisou actually help with?
By keeping your mouth gently closed, Bisou promotes nasal breathing, which:
- Improves oxygen circulation
- Reduces snoring + dry mouth
- Supports oral health and fresher breath
- Helps reduce puffiness and inflammation overnight
- Boosts collagen benefits directly on your lips
What are the beauty benefits?
With consistent use, women often notice:
- Softer, more hydrated lips
- Less puffiness around the eyes and face
- A fresher, more “awake” morning look
- Skin that feels less dehydrated thanks to nasal breathing and collagen infusion
Should I use Bisou if I’m sick or congested?
If you have a cold or your nose is blocked, we recommend pausing until you can comfortably breathe through your nose again. Listen to your body — comfort comes first.
Does this help with sleep apnea or CPAP?
Some people find that mouth taping improves their CPAP therapy, but if you have sleep apnea, we recommend consulting your doctor first. Bisou is a supportive tool, not a medical replacement.
What if I feel uncomfortable or can’t breathe?
That’s totally normal at first — especially if you’ve been mouth breathing for years. Start slow: wear Bisou for a short while before bed, then gradually work your way up to overnight use.
Every strip is designed with a tiny safety hole in the center, so even if you feel a little anxious, you’ll never feel completely “blocked.” This helps your body adjust while still encouraging nasal breathing.
If you ever feel too uncomfortable, simply remove the tape.
